Our Story

At Fremont Community Church, it is our hearts desire and purpose to love God with a surrendered heart and to love others by leading them to Jesus. Founded by Pastor Sherman Williams and his wife, Marti, in 1973, FCC is an interdenominational Christian church located in the one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse cities in the Bay Area. At FCC, we aspire to be a church that reflects the community it serves. We have different ministries and Life Groups that offer something for everyone. Whether you’re a committed Christian looking to go deeper in your faith or maybe you’re just beginning to ask questions about God, you can find a home here at FCC.
Eric joined the FCC family as Lead Minister in August of 2021. Originally from Akron, Ohio and spending the last 7 years in Chicagoland, Eric comes to California with his family. Eric and Adrianne were married in 2003 and have two kinds, daughter Kendall (2008) and son Kieran (2011). As a family, they love music, being outdoors near water, and exploring new cities and places to eat.

Eric has been serving in full-time church ministry since 2004 with a background in youth ministry, worship ministry, and local outreach. He earned a BA in Mass Media Communication from the University of Akron (2004) and a Master of Arts in Religions from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2006). He’s currently working toward a Doctor of Ministry degree from Northern Seminary with a focus on contextual theology and missional leadership.

Some of Eric’s passions include cross-cultural ministry, team-building, relational discipleship, and missional vision for the local church. In his free time, Eric enjoys reading, playing guitar, running, and eating spicy food.
We believe church should be a community of people who come together as we journey and encourage each other as we live out our faith. That’s why FCC has been ministering to our community for over 40 years and would love for you to visit us!
